Why I finally dropped expansion loops on long cable runs
For 8 years I insisted on leaving those loops near every panel, thought it was the only right way. After watching a heating duct melt through a loop cover in a Plano attic last summer, I switched to strapping the bundle tight and using a service loop only at the entry point. Has anyone else had expansion loops cause more headaches than they prevent?
