The cheap foam ear tips I mocked turned out to be a lifesaver on a loud job
I used to think those foam ear tips for my Bluetooth headset were a gimmick, figured the silicone ones were fine. Then I got a call to swap out a panel in a server room outside Dallas last month, and the drone from the HVAC was so bad I couldn't hear my dispatch. Swapped in a pair of Comply tips I had in my bag, and the noise reduction was night and day, I could actually talk to the customer without shouting. Anyone else find that random small upgrades like that make a bigger difference than the fancy gear you just bought?

Foam tips cut the drone way better than silicone, I keep spares in every truck now.
