Hit 250 installs and now I'm questioning my whole wiring approach
Just passed 250 panel installs over 4 years in Phoenix, and that number made me realize I've been doing battery backups in a way that works but probably isn't best. Half my jobs use the same dual-zone setup for motion sensors, the other half varies, and I can't tell which one actually fails less. Anyone else hit a milestone that made them rethink their standard practice, or am I overthinking it?

Man, 250 is a solid number to hit that wall. Totally get the overthinking thing, I was around 150 when I started second-guessing my whole motion sensor placement game. Ended up changing it mid-year and now I'm not even sure it was worth the headache, but at least the numbers feel cleaner in my head now.

Have you tracked callbacks separately for each setup, or are you just going off feel? I pulled my last two years of service tickets and plotted them against the wiring notes, and that cleared up way more than my gut ever did. If you can grab six months of data on both setups, the answer usually shows up on its own.
