Saw a Gulfstream on the ramp in Wichita with a loose panel latch, and the owner waved me off

I was doing a walkaround at a GA ramp in Wichita two days ago and spotted a fastener missing on the number two engine cowl of a G550, but when I pointed it out the owner said his guy in Dallas already looked at it, so has anyone else had a pilot or owner brush off a legit squawk like that?
