My torque wrench re-certification story from Tuesday is still making me laugh

So I dropped off my torque wrench for its annual calibration at the shop in Tulsa. Guy behind the counter asks me how I keep it stored. I say, in the case, set to zero. He gives me this look and says, "You know that's the lowest setting, right? Not zero." I go, "Yeah, that's what I said." He pulls out the manual and shows me the release mechanism. Turns out I'd been storing it at 20 ft-lbs for 6 years and somehow never snapped a fastener off. Anyone else find out they've been doing some dumb habit for ages without consequences?
