Spent $45 on an AI headshot generator, the results were creepy
Needed new photos for a client proposal, so I paid for one of those AI portrait services thinking it would save time. Every single one had weird glassy eyes and my hands looked like they belonged to someone else, has anyone actually got a usable picture out of these things?
Creepy eyes seem to be the default setting with these tools, like the software just gives up on making them look human and goes for "vaguely haunted mannequin." Same thing happens with AI voices on those phone menus, they all sound like they're reading a script for a horror movie trailer. The hands thing cracks me up too, because it's always the simplest stuff that trips up the tech, you'd think they'd sort that out before charging 45 bucks. At this point I just ask a friend to take ten quick shots on their phone and pick the least awkward one, saves money and nobody ends up looking like a wax sculpture.
