Dropped $180 on an AI transcription tool, saved my backside in one week

I do interviews for a local history project in Portland and was drowning in 14 hours of audio. Bought a yearly plan for Fireflies AI at $180 after a friend swore by it, and it turned every chat into clean notes with speaker tags. The catch is it garbles older folks with heavy accents, so I still manually fix maybe 20 percent. Anyone else paying for transcription and finding it worth it, or should I switch to something like Otter?
