TIL the guy who runs the feed store in Ames was wrong about my loader's hydraulic fluid
He insisted for two seasons that plain cheap fluid was fine in my old 4020, then last week the lift started chattering and my mechanic quoted $1,400 to fix the pump, so now I'm wondering who else got that same free advice from him.
