The note my neighbor in Phoenix taped to my door about my dog

I found a note on my door at 11pm from my neighbor Todd that said my dog had been barking for 2 hours straight while I was at my sister's birthday dinner. I was so mad at first, but then I sat on my kitchen floor and realized I do the exact same thing to people, I just leave them on read instead of barking. How do you tell someone they're being annoying without making it a whole thing?
