TIL the DMV in Boise has a separate line for people with appointments and the wait was 8 minutes vs 2 hours
I went to renew my license last Tuesday and noticed two lines, one snaking out the door and one almost empty. A guy near me said he'd been waiting 1 hour 40 minutes while the appointment folks breezed through in under 10 minutes. Is it fair that people who book online get to skip ahead, or should everyone wait their turn the same way?
My dentist does this thing where you can text "here" from the parking lot and they call you in when it's your turn. Last time I sat in my car for 6 minutes instead of the waiting room for 40. Maybe the DMV could steal that idea instead of making people pick sides.
